Maison du Numérique Charter on the Protection of Personal Data and Privacy
As part of its activities and in accordance with the legislation in force in the Principality of Monaco, the Maison du Numérique is committed to ensuring the protection and confidentiality of users’ personal data and to respecting their privacy. This Charter explains how the Maison du Numérique, its processors and any partners process your personal data.
Why does the Maison du Numérique process your data?
The Maison du Numérique collects and processes personal data that you voluntarily provide in order to:
• Ensure the proper functioning and continuous improvement of the website, its services and features;
• Manage requests for a telephone call-back;
• Organise training sessions (“classes”) and workshops;
• Compile statistics to improve workshops;
• Inform users of any changes related to their booking;
• Send newsletters;
• Organise and manage the Maison du Numérique’s human and material resources;
• Handle requests to exercise rights of access, rectification, objection, erasure, restriction, and the right to lodge a complaint with the CCIN.
When users browse the website and wish to contact the Maison du Numérique to receive assistance in using the digital tools and services deployed in the Principality, the Maison du Numérique may collect the personal data submitted via the booking form. These data are processed for the purposes stated at the time of collection.
What data are collected?
The data collected to achieve the purposes described in this Charter include:
• Identification data for booking a workshop or training session (last name, first name, email address, date of birth, telephone number);
• Identification data for newsletter subscription (email address; IP addresses);
• Connection data and cookies (IP addresses, connection logs, web pages visited).
In particular, the Maison du Numérique may collect personal data:
• When you visit the Maison du Numérique website;
• When you complete forms available on the website;
• During exchanges with the Maison du Numérique teams;
• When you subscribe to the Newsletter.
Regardless of the collection method, the Maison du Numérique informs you of the purposes of the processing, whether your responses are mandatory or optional, the possible consequences for it of a failure to respond (notably the inability to provide the requested services), the recipients of the data, and the existence and procedures for exercising your rights of access, rectification and objection at the time your personal data are requested.
How are your data secured?
To ensure your data are processed securely and confidentially, the Maison du Numérique has implemented appropriate technical and organisational measures, taking into account the nature and sensitivity of the various types of data processed and the level of risk associated with each processing operation.
These security and data-protection measures apply to all Maison du Numérique personnel as well as all of its processors and service providers. These measures are updated regularly and documented to maintain the required level of security and confidentiality.
On what legal basis are the data collected?
Consent
All personal data concerning you are collected directly from you when you request contact, when you make a booking, and during our exchanges (letters, telephone calls, etc.).
When requesting contact, you complete various forms and provide personal data so that Maison du Numérique staff can get in touch with you.
Your consent is required and is systematically requested.
The Maison du Numérique may send marketing communications to users who have expressly agreed to receive them.
The Maison du Numérique may share personal data with partners to ensure the proper functioning of the service.
If, thereafter, users no longer wish to receive such communications by email, they may at any time send a letter without providing any additional reason to:

Legitimate interest
The Maison du Numérique may also use users’ personal data where it has a broader legitimate interest to do so, notably to enable the continuous improvement of its services. These data are used to measure user satisfaction and expectations, and to monitor and improve the quality of the services provided.
Anyone may object at any time to the Maison du Numérique’s use of their personal data.
2. Legal and regulatory obligations
As a key player in the Principality of Monaco’s digital transition, the Maison du Numérique may need to use some of your personal data to meet its legal and regulatory obligations, as part of its public service concession missions.
3. How long are your data kept?
The Maison du Numérique determines specific retention periods for each processing purpose and for the nature of the personal data collected, in compliance with the legal and regulatory provisions in force in the Principality of Monaco and with the deliberations published by the Commission de Contrôle des Informations Nominatives (CCIN).
4. Who has access to your data?
Personal data are processed by Maison du Numérique staff and by its authorised processors and service providers, in order to properly perform the various services the Maison du Numérique provides to you.
5. What are your rights?
You may exercise your rights of access, objection, deletion and rectification of your personal data at any time by proceeding as follows:
1. Print the form entitled “Request concerning personal data.”
2. Complete the form, providing the personal data necessary to clearly identify you and stating the purpose of your request.
3. Return the completed form, remembering to enclose a copy of your identity document or any conclusive evidence (kept only for the processing of your request), to the following address:
